Perhaps phasing the turns, so everyone has 1-2m to do empire/logistical/not moving armies at the start of the turn, and then 1-2m to do the army movement stuff. Where all players move at the same time, it will force some mechanical changes for the MP campaigns regarding when battles are fought, but wego (as opposed to you go I go which is what we have now) is an enormous improvement for multiplayer, AND, it stream lines things for any eventual implementation of more than 2 players. I definitely think if they want to push the multiplayer campaign aspect forward, they need to shift to a wego type turn based system. The vast majority of gamers today are teenagers whose expectations on what is good, and or bad, is instant action type stuff like Fortnite and other games where you can get the full experience in 15 minutes. This isn't the 90's or the even late 2000's anymore, where people have any sort of patience. We've verified the cache and we aren't using any mods. But we get a desync everytime I click on the first battle, and even if we continue we get consistent desync's every turn or so, usually at the end turn. I also think we're in a new era of video games. My friend and I are trying to play a multiplayer campaign (Cao Cao vs Mulu). It gets the least work, is the most janky mode, least number of people play it, so it gets the least work and is janky.
